The processing time of your cashing will be different depending on the nature of the cheque

 

  • If it's a BMCE cheque, the transaction will be recorded in your account on the first business day following the day of submission
  • If it's a cheque from another bank, the transaction will be recorded on your account on the second business day following the day of submission

Cheque remittance  is also available on  Free Banking Services Automatons operation 24 / 7 within the same processing time as the branch (provided that your submission is carried out before 5p.m.

 We offer you the possibility to cash your check to your account at any BMCE branch at no extra charge  

 

 A cheque submitted on a D-day  must be canceled before 5 p.m.

Non-payment of any cheque due to missing or insufficient funds leads your bank to report a payment incident to the Central Bank (Bank Al Maghrib)

If the payment incident is reported, you will be banned from issuing cheques in favour of third parties. You can issue a cheque only for yourself

  • To solve your problem with the beneficiary, you can agree with them on  another payment method (cash payment or other) or fund your account for a new submission of the cheque by the beneficiary
  • To solve your problem with your bank, you have to :
  1. 1.Settle the cheque causing the incident: If you have agreed with your beneficiary a settlement method other than the resubmission of the cheque, the latter should give you back the cheque and give you a proof of payment or a withdrawal letter duly signed and authenticated by him so that you may submit it to your bank
  2. 2.Pay the tax fine at the General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR) against a receipt of payment

 

If you issue a transfer - via your branch or BMCE DIRECT- to the account of a beneficiary who is a customer of the same bank as you, the transaction will be completed instantly

If you issue a transfer - via your branch or BMCE DIRECT- to the account of a beneficiary who is a customer of another bank, the operation will be completed on the 2nd day following the business day of the transfer

If you want to quickly send money to a non-client (or even a client), you may:

  • ask your branch to make a Provision
  • Or make the Provision by yourself  online in your BMCE Direct space

The provision is a transaction in which you order your bank to debit an amount from your account and make it available to your designated beneficiary , whether a customer of the Bank or not.

Your beneficiary may get your transfer upon presentation of some form of identification:

  • ID Card for Moroccans
  • Registration card for foreigners living in Morocco
